Fix for Imap Gmail account sync take too long
reported error (0x800CCCD2) or error 0x80048002….
disable Windows Firewall.
then go to:
File > Options > Advanced > Send/Receive > Edit “All Accounts”
For each account listed on the left, change the “Receive mail items” setting to “Download headers for subscribed folders.”
By default it’s downloading a lot of unnecessarily data which is why it’s taking so long.
you can try also:
go to account settings (for googlemail imap account) and click advanced account settings,
then select the “deleted items” tab. select “mark items to delete but do not move them”.
